Totally agree with Ralph. I would only add his name to our "Characters"
list, as his contribution is huge and permanent.

And about paddlewise I 'll like to say that it is not just a list, or a
source of information. I feel it is much more than that. Paddlewise
community has become part of my life, as everyday I'm exchanging about 30
e-mails from all over the world, receiving news and comments from the
members. We've become kind of a "family", getting involved in more than sea
kayaking, as the human relationships are an item by itself. Arthur Herbert
is a good example by bringing us is friend's (Larry Koenig) horrible
accident. Personally I don't know any of them, but Iīve been touched by his
misfortune, and I'm feeling happy knowing he is recovering very well.
Some members have open their homes an families to others visiting, even
hosting them during their stay. So it's not only about sea kayaks, or
technique. It is about people, a bunch of friends, or a family, as you
prefer.

I never subscribed to other servers as paddlewise gives me all I'm able to
read in my free time. Sometimes I even donīt have time to reply some
messages ... . But I found it such a good example of integration, that I
started a list in Spanish ( my native language ) which is slowly growing up.
In case you like to improve you Spanish you're all welcome ( you can post in
English, but most of the members donīt speak the language ). You can read it
and subscribe to it at : www.topica.com/lists/kayak_argentina

Best regards !
