My two year old Dagger Sitka fiberglass kayak is for sale for $1900. Orange deck with yellow hull. Low-deck Greenland style kayak that is a dream to roll and handle. It is 18'x22", expedition weight fiberglass (63#), has a rudder integrated into the hull for minimum drag and controlled by solid footbraces with a "butterfly toe-flap" so you can have solid bracing but still have foot rudder control. It has three hatches, two large (17"x13") hatches fore and aft, and one 8" day hatch for easy access. All have Kajak Sport molded rubber hatch covers that are truely water tight and easy to open and close. Bow hatch volume is 7400 cubic inches (121 liters), stgern hatch volume is 9700 cubic inches (159 liters). Adjustable Yakima foot braces with "butterfly" control pedals. Fiberglass bow and stern bulkheads, and delux wide padded backband. Neoprene padded composite thigh braces provide the best support I've seen in any ! kayak for turns, bracing, and rolling. Large keyhole cockpit (31.5"x16.5") that you can sit in first before putting legs in kayak, and anatomically designed fiberglass seat that Rutabaga reviews as comfortable as "taking a Lazy Boy out on the water". Recessed deck fittings, deck lines and shock cord deck rigging, paddle float rescue rigging, recessed compass mount, under-deck water bottle tube holder, and carrying toggles. There are four pictures among my 13 pictures from a recent Everlades trip that show what the kayak looks like....see them at http://content.communities.msn.com/isapi/fetch.dll?action=get_album&ID_Community=KenJohnsonsKayakTrips&ID_Topic=1 or http://communities.msn.com/KenJohnsonsKayakTrips&naventryid=100 For more information contact:Ken Johnson, johnsonkw_at_earthlink.net, 361-855-3926 1042 Harrison Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78404 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
