Absolutely.  Like you, however, I enjoy bouncing over larger wakes.

Don't think there is much hope re:  educating motorboaters about this.  They
equate lots of freeboard to high stability, and regard our tiny craft, with
only inches of freeboard, as terminally unstable.  Consequently, they think
they are doing us a massive favor by dropping speed.

I just wave and smile.
