I have a question about this incident. Has anyone actually determined the cause of death? Has an autopsy been performed? I think it's rather curious that a fellow which is described as being an "experienced and avid kayaker, " could not, or did not roll, and apparently lost his boat upon exiting without a chance to retrieve his paddlefloat. Have we ruled out that something happened to him 'before' hitting the water?
