Josh, I find one common cause for people who "lose" their rolls after "having" them is that they "forget" to keep their hips loose during the roll. It is easy to forget, since you have to tense your shoulder muscles to begin the roll- often that tensions locks up the hips with the back into one rigid unit- and a failed roll. My guess is that if you can concentrate on keeping your hips loose and bringing your head towards your paddle it will be back.
