I should mention in my haste, that there was a kayak incident on the Coast Guard media line I check in with. Apparently a kayaker went to check some crab pots (they think) and fell out Friday evening late. Cries for help were heard. An very extensive search of the White Rock bay area, both by the Canadian and US coasties found no trace of the kayaker, save for his boat. The matter has been turned over to the RCMP. Last year there was an incident similar to this one, involving illegal smuggling of drugs (I think). Either way, pot or pots can get you killed while night paddling. Here's hoping Paddlewisers don't smoke catnip at night while paddling (or smuggle, or whatever). Goodnight.
