Ralph did you try airing out the inside of the bags for a bit then soaking the MSR bladders with baking soda in water for a day or two after. I've never been able to use any bladder, even Gregory's mylar lined one, without that process. I usually find things much better with this stuff after a couple of baking soda baths. If I had plunked down real money I might even try soaking their insides with activated charcoal in water. Jim, if I decided to go with the MSR Dromedary bags, I would buy from REI or LL Bean and use their satisfaction guarantee.
