Hi All,

I guess I have been letting the stuff from that fellow go by since he sends
dozens of these messages to the newsgroups each day. He actually references
PaddleWise in some slightly varied version of his message to the newsgroups
that went right by me. It even has Paddlewise in the title as you can see.

This comes from a message sent to a bunch of the newsgroups in the
rec.boats.paddle family. I am using broken lines to mark off what he
writes. I eliminated his return address.

Serial Killers on rec.boats.paddle

Do not lie to people about rolls and paddlefloats to murder them. This is why
Canoe and Kayak Mag, Seakayaker Mag, Ralph Diaz, Matt Broze etc. are in such
serious trouble with charges of murder in the second degree.

Paddlewise is a particularly murderous little kayak cult. I receive their
packets via a SPONSON SAFETY advocate.

I warned intelenet.net (Jackie Fenton etc.) that they would create a murder
cult, 400 US paddler deaths ago. For example, Ralph Diaz tries to kill Kevin
Whilden by telling him to zip up this drysuit in hot weather, causing
heatstroke. Kevin says no, he is going to take the risks. Why not simply
wear a wetsuit and use 20 second sponsons, like a child, judge and jury.
Paddle fully flooded boat to safety, escaping hypothermia and heatstroke
from a drysuit?

A child judge and jury. 20 seconds. WHY murder people.

The judge and jury are not cult members. The police deprtment is not in the
cult. The media is not in the murder cult.

They simply ask Why did they murder the 1000 US paddlers in the US COAST
GUARD DATABASE. The dozen models of 20 second sponsons negate the need for a
Ralph Diaz drysuit murder.
----------------------------------------

I bet you didn't know you that by joining Paddlewise that you became part of
a killer cult! And, honest, I am not trying to kill Kevin off...just simply
differences of views.

best,

ralph diaz

OK,

maybe I should come clean. It was really me who murdered those 1000
kayakers. Everyone else should stop taking the blame. I guess, once I
got a taste of paddling blood on my hands I couldn't stop. Maybe
admitting I have a problem is the first step towards recovery.

Except Kevin. He murdered himself, what with that killing machine
they call a "drysuit". By zipping that dry"death"suit up the
resulting trapped heat caused the drysuit to expand and explode -- it
was a horrible mess and took several nearby paddlers and a few baby
seals with it.

Don't sweat it, Ralph. Although I have never defended a serial killer who is a
member of a murder cult, I have spent about half a year working on on a mass
murder's appeal at the Court of Appeal level. Just call collect from jail when
they pick you up.

Ralph,
Thanks for the heads-up that you're trying to kill me. :)
There's no need however, since I do a pretty good job of that myself,
paddling always in a drysuit and without sponsons. Hasn't worked yet though,
so I guess I'm not perfect. Darn it...

For those who are curious about why my name is involved. Last year I wrote a
drysuit review for Sea Kayaker, which started a debate between Ralph and I
(on PW and in the letters to the editor in SK). The essence of the debate is
that I suggested unrolling a drysuit while on the water as a way to manage
heat in certain difficult situations (e.g. hot still mornings on cold water,
with wind expected later in the day). Ralph kindly pointed out that I hadn't
adequately explained when and how this might be a good idea for someone to
consider increasing their risk in such a gross manner. As far as I could
tell, the debate was amicable enough, and I certainly appreciate Ralph's
position.

Cheers,
Kevin
