The compactness and ease of installation of this pump have great appeal.
I'll bet that for really secure installation it would be wise to affix a
collar of some substantial material (wood, epoxy, etc - maybe even
good-quality closed-cell foam) to the underside of the deck when installing
the pump, because repeated pumping motion might easily loosen a simple
through-the-deck mounting, resulting in an annoying through-deck leak - or
a disastrous one.

I wonder if anyone has an independent idea of how quickly they empty the
boat, compared to the usual hand-operated pump, and compared to one of the
electric pumps. It seems as if the stroke volume would be small and
therefore the minute-volume flow (cfm) would be low, leading to a rather
long emptying time. For my boats, the shorter pump might be necessary. I'll
measure one of the boats today, and will probably also contact Radical Gear
to see if they have a cfm figure of their own.
