I tried the hydration systems and decided they were more trouble then they're worth. I use a fanny pack designed to hold a sports bottle, modified with two pieces of bunjii and 4 stainless clips so it sits on the apex of the deck and clips to the deck fittings. Having the bottle at the apex keeps it away from the paddle and handy. The nice thing about this system is there's no cleaning up of bags and tubes...just toss the empty bottle in the water! (Just kidding) I use an insulated Polar cycling sports bottle and usually freeze all or most of the contents. The insulated bottle will still have some ice after many hours of paddling, even under the Florida sun. cya *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
