[demime could not interpret encoding binary - treating as plain text] Hello Peter, > Its been a while since flares were discussed and mine are due to be > replaced. Sorry, I hadn´t read the discussion. Lot´s to do... For example once the flare is used can it be > turned over and the smoke sction used? Has the technology changed much in > the last 3 years? What you are looking for is the day-night-signal from Pains Wessex (british - but also in Australia). Have a look at www.pwss.com products-pyrotechnics-flares&signals. I got a Dummy at home. It is extrem compact, absolute waterproof (up to 30ft) and you could use each side on its own. Smoke for about 15s (?) and a red fire light for about 10-12s (??). But it is horrific expensive, costs here over 50 USD (normal price), within my collecting order about 40 USD ! The british RNLI guys got 2 peaces at their life jackets/pfd, I was told. Okay, the normal flares are bigger and better, but the day-night-signal is the most compact (with both sides usable) one, you can get - as I know. Next year, I will order me one and place it in a separate bag at my life jacket. Hope this helps - and all the best Jochen Grikschat ------------------------------------- surfsaturn.de präsentiert: Nutzen Sie das kostenlose Webbüro mit E-Mail, SMS, Fax, Terminkalender und Adressbuch. zur Anmeldung geht es hier: https://register.surfeu.de/saturn_signup/ Timelife präsentiert: Akte X - Die unheimlichen Fälle des FBI Die Wahrheit ist irgendwo da draußen ... und jetzt auch bei TIME-LIFE!
