I used to purchase all my AA alkalines at Costco. They worked fine and cost $.20 each. Costco no longer stocks them, because of pressure from their other battery manufacturers and now the cheapest AAs are around $.50! A rather significant difference of almost 150% totally unrelated to the costs of production. Has anyone found a reliable source of generic or off brand alkalines in the same price range? I use NimHs but sometimes it's impractical, like when traveling internationally. BTW, I found an interesting web site while looking for batteries: http://www.uwgb.edu/nevermab/led.htm Cya!
