Looking into it I noticed a few companies are offering nonstick pans and
I'm
wondering how they hold held up. I also do some paddling in and
around salt water. The set I was thinking about is the MSR Blacklite
cook set.

I was doing a bit of comparison shopping and I settled on the GSI extreme
andonized cookware. It is aluminum cookware that is hardened and the
surface becomes non-stick. Since it is not a coating it doesn't chip off.
Backpacker gave it their highest rating for cookware.
http://www.backpacker.com/gear/article/0,1023,1964,00.html GSI makes this
cookware in a number of different sizes I wanted a set for 4-5 people. It is
spendy but I like cookware I don't have to fuss with. I got the 7 piece set
for $75 (with shipping) from Outdoor World in California. I have an MSR
alpine set for 1-2 people and I really like the set, but it is not non
stick. -- MZ
