OK. inventors, get busy! I generate a lot of energy just paddling. So why
not hook up a harness or some quickly releasable (for safety purposes)
apparatus so that my paddle strokes translate into "pump" action for a water
purification set? Maybe a paddle stroke could translate into one-forth of a
manual stroke on the water
purification set to decrease any extra effort to paddle. But the accumulative
action of paddling could translate into a lot of water purification set
pumping action. Give it some thought!

Why not let hull displacement and gravity do the work for you? It would mean
drilling a hole through the hull (preferably at the deepest point below the
waterline) epoxy a fitting in place and attaching the desalination membrane
to the fitting. Gravity and would do the pumping. If the fitting were to
scoop water as you paddled forward the extra pressure would increase flow.

Outrageous but maybe?????
