Rich, Yes, I saw the same story and it was an amazing story. After several attempts by rescuers that failed because of the swift currents, the female kayaker you mentioned paddled out with a tow line and made the rescue. Yes, your right, it was a short white water river boat she was paddling. Unfortunately, the father was arrested because he had been trying to kill his daughters when they were all swept in the water. Tragic story but I thought it was so neat that a kayaker was able to make the rescue and that the little girls are okay now. That's the way the news here reported it anyway.
