The kayaking-related illusion I experience most frequently is feeling the restaurant booth move up and down after a full day of moving up and down on waves. A perhaps related experience is the illusion that solid ground and stationary objects are moving after watching whitewater kayakers on the swirling water at Taylors Falls, a popular whitewater practice spot on the Minnesota-Wisconsin border.
