A couple weeks ago there was a thread on kayak covers. I just ordered a cover
for a canoe. I asked what the bags were made of and got the following response:

> I use
> a polyester double knit, which fits the boat nicely, conforms to the curves
> and yet is great for uv protection. You can see more on
> www.waterworkscanoe.com under Bag Lady or products.

The page http://www.waterworkscanoe.com/the_bag_lady.htm has an image of
how a bag looks on a canoe. The Bag Lady makes canoe bags, not kayak bags, and
paddle covers. At least this hint might get those who are interested closer to a known material.

The boat bag for a 17' canoe was $100 (US) plus $10 shipping.
