Mary Beth Hi Mary Beth, You might check out a discussion from a couple of years back that's on the PaddleWise website covering quite a few cold-weather paddling issues. Lots of war stories. http://www.paddlewise.net/topics/technique/coldwthr.html Cheers, Jackie *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). Most foldables have inflatable sponsons to aid in final tightening of the hull, but you still need bow and stern bags and most manufacturers either omit them or have ones that are too small. Even with the Feathercraft seasock system additional air bags are good insurance. Of course one alternative to cold weather gear with a foldable is to fly down to someplace like Florida. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
