Second Australia, 3 days later. Third - Belgium. 4th - New Zealand (51 days) the womens' team, 4th out of 35 teams. Maybe they had an advantage, the boat knew the way having been the winning boat last time. . . . USA????? about 25 days still to go when the women finished. So I, for one, appreciate the update. The USA team finished 11th on Dec 4. 9 days after the New Zealand ladies. The winning team was 3 days up on second, 7 days up on third. -- >The Ward Evans Atlantic Challenge with was mentioned on this group a little >while ago. > >Gypsykayak_at_aol.com wrote - >>As of Sunday Oct 7th 36 double handed teams representing 11 countries will >>set off from Tenerife to Barbados ... 2,900 miles across the Atlantic for the >>world's only ocean rowing race! >> >>www.challengebusiness.com. > >http://www.telecomchallenge.co.nz/ > >http://www.telecomchallenge.co.nz/media_news_archive.html > >FIRST - New Zealand after 41 days rowing, unfortunately not quite breaking >the record. > >Second Australia, 3 days later. > >Third - Belgium. > >4th - New Zealand (51 days) the womens' team, 4th out of 35 teams.
