I am planning to be in San Francisco in mid janurary on my way to a conference. can anyone suggest a place I could rent a kayak for an afternoon. I probably can't carry a kayak on a rental car so the outfitter would have to be "on the water. Bob: I have had great experience with a great bunch of folks at Riptides and Rapids (riptidesandrapids.com) in Mountain View, about 50 minutes south of SF. They are not right on the water, but offer great trips around the Bay Area. I paddled "Under the [Golden] Gate" with them, and it was awesome. They bring the kayaks and equipment to wherever the put-in is. Owner Jim Westcott very friendly. They rent British kayaks, so if you've ever wished to try out an NDK Romany or a VCP Anas Acuta, this is your chance! I'll be there from Dec. 23-25, and would be interested in hearing any replies, too. So far, I only know of Sea Trek in Sausalito. Thanks. Emile Zen -----Original Message----- From: Rev.
