Hi Jerry,

I'd expect the Romany to have less windage than the Millenium since it's 3
feet shorter... The Mariner II is also a bit shorter than the
MIllenium. I like the Mariner II but I prefer the three bulkhead/hatch
arrangement of the british style boats (no, I'm not trolling for a long
thread here) and I don't think that's an option on a Mariner(?). I also
like a lower rear deck for doing some of the Greenland rolls.

What I'd really like is a boat that fit me like the PH Sirius _at_ 17ish x 20"
but had a bit more maneuverable hull and three VCP hatches. I'm likely
headed to Alaska for a longish trip this summer and I'd like something more
suited to multiday trips than the Romany. Depending on budget constraints,
I'd like to eventually replace the Romany with a Coaster for day paddles,
one night trips, playing in Deception Pass, etc.

Best,

Thomas
