[Paddlewise] CT River

Hi All,

On the heels of my friend Gerald Stover's being so excited about all the 
great information he got from paddlewisers about his South Carolina trip,  I 
am writing to ask your help in planning a trip that a buddy and I are going 
to take in June down the Connecticut River from its origin to Long Island 
Sound.

We're particularly interested in what people know about places to camp, areas 
where rapids are prominent, portages, and, of course, anything else anyone 
has to suggest.
Does anyone know of any books or articles about such a trip?  I know people 
from Dartmouth College take a yearly trip from Hanover to the sound, so I'll 
try to get in touch with them, though there's is a canoe trip.  Info about 
the river north of Hanover is particularly of interest.
