I have found that leaving a foot inside the cockpit when doing a wet exit 
works better than trying to hold onto the cockpit combing with your hand. 
Getting both feet completely out while holding onto the paddle with one 
hand and the cockpit rim with the other can get a bit tricky.  Leaving one 
foot in keeps the boat close until you can grab onto the cockpit rim with 
the other hand, then remove the other foot.
