My thanks to all of you Wise Paddlers around the globe who provided all sorts of information about electric pumps in response to my inquiry about three weeks ago. Wow! That was a subject that really touched a lot of nerves/hearts. I appreciate every bit of your information. And now, another subject......... I recently acquired a used plastic boat made by Dagger, an 11' 6" "Blackwater" which I intend to use in conditions where I might stand a good chance of abusing my kevlar touring hull going through shallow, rocky bottom riffles, etc. This boat doesn't have any bulkheads. I intend to build-in a bulkhead behind the cockpit. I have heard that "normal" fiber glassing will not adhere to this plastic hull. I expect to make a pattern by cutting cardboard or something similar to the shape of the outside of the hull., a sort of a negative of the bulkhead. What would be a good material for the bulkhead itself? And what would be a good way to "glue" it in place? Open to any and all recommendations, Ol' Dave *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
