I have a Dagger Delta which is similar in size & shape and is made of the same
foam/skin as the Blackwater. The bulkhead is Minicell, about 1-1/2 or 2
inches thick. Not sure what the adhesive was, but it looks to be something
like Marine Goop. (I often use E6000 from the same manufacturer, which may in
fact be the same stuff). From the looks of the bulkhead, it appears to have
been installed in at least two pieces, each glued into the kayak then to each
other . Probably an easier way to get all that in through the hatch...

I recently acquired a used plastic boat made by Dagger, an 11' 6" "Blackwater"

which I intend to use in conditions where I might stand a good chance of

abusing my kevlar touring hull going through shallow, rocky bottom riffles,

etc. This boat doesn't have any bulkheads. I intend to build-in a bulkhead

behind the cockpit. I have heard that "normal" fiber glassing will not adhere

to this plastic hull. I expect to make a pattern by cutting cardboard or

something similar to the shape of the outside of the hull., a sort of a

negative of the bulkhead. What would be a good material for the bulkhead

itself? And what would be a good way to "glue" it in place?
