I'm writing to ask whether you will permit me to post the following announcement on the list. I understand that this would be a reference to a commercial outfit, and might help to establish an annoying precedent. I'm basing the request on the fact that, as the announcement states, the site has a very large amount of content that is of general, rather than proprietary, interest. Please visit the site and make up your own mind. In particular, check out the Literature, Equipment, and Expert Center areas. http://www.AtlanticKayakTours.com AKT has developed a very large website of general interest to paddlers. Over 200 pages provide content that goes far beyond the usual company-specific details such as schedules, prices, and available equipment. Our ambition is to provide most everything our customers and paddlers all around the world might want to know about paddlesports, and we are well on our way. One section is of particular interest: Expert Center In the "Expert Center" section of the website there are currently almost 100 pages of skills information covering many aspects of paddling. The section is conceived as a perennial work in progress. More text, photos, drawings and videos are in preparation and will be added as they are ready. Edited by a member of the staff, the Expert Center will contain contributions from many world class paddlers. The mission of the Expert Center is to be a resource for paddlers from first-timers to experts, available free of charge to everyone. Literature and Equipment Centers These areas also contain a great deal of useful information. The Literature section includes instructional booklets in pdf format, as well as literature pertaining to the BCU. The Equipment section features reviews of selected equipment by paddlers who have used them. Please use the method Matt Broze uses. If replying to a question give a brief answer to the list and then post a reference to a specific part of your site. Posting only a response with a link to your site will soon get you, or your site into the filters, as did posting the request to the list. For those that wonder about the filters, any message that gets stopped by a filter gets sent to me where I have to decide whether it makes it to the list in general.
