The other fellow, afterall, did make it, so maybe a PFD might have been very beneficial. There have been a number of immersion deaths lately around BC and in most cases a PFD was not worn. But your point is well taken -- that the message boaters are getting is not giving enough correct emphasis to immersion apparel and training issues. I should mention this incident occured in the early afternoon, not the evening as I implied. Also, you guessed it good Dr., the two men were not wearing immersion apparel of any description. Also, I geuss the spray skirt issue is a red herring, as I don't believe rec boats normally come with a skirt.
