This one qualifies for the 'how not to' book. I was in a sailing regatta a mile or so east of where this occured. The wind at the time varied from light to gusts of 30 knots or so. Gales were forcasted all weekend. There was rain, hail and periods of sunshine on Sunday. The tide was at near max ebb in an area noted for strong currents. It appears these guys went out without spray skirts, no floatation in boats without bulkheads, were not wearing PFD's, and apparently no immersion protection. Such a waste. http://www.canada.com/victoria/story.asp?id={7A0F2495-2A6B-4683-AE31-A3B9A96D967F} Steve Davis Victoria, BC _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
