Me again! getting noisy mmmhhh?

I've recently been following courses (professionally) on 3M adhesives. They
now have adhesives for polyethylene, which was impossible to glue until now or
at least impossible to glue with a good structural resistance.

They produce a 2 composant, very high resistance version, a hot melt version
(called jet-melt No something) and even 2 sided adhesive tape.

If any of you are interested in this glue, I'm sure you can find a 3M
distributor near you, but please, PLEASE check the adhesives reaction to water
immersion and sea water immersion before doing something silly. I have no info
on water resistance. Maybe it's no use for kayaks, but still, maybe it'll give
you Tupperware sailors an alternative to hot air welding.

BTW, I have no commercial interest in promoting 3M or their products. I do
work in the plastics industry here in Switzerland, and will do my best to
answer any of your technical questions about plastics.
