>I'm considering a kayak trailer to haul 2-3 kayaks around. Does anyone have >some experience with kayak trailers. Best type of shocks, construction, etc? Take a look at http://www.sportsrig.com. I have one of their trailers that I pull behind a Honda del Sol. That's the little tiny Honda 2 person sportscar model that was discontinued in 1997. The trailer is a little expensive at around $1k but is very light and excellently suspended on motorcycle shocks and springs. I've had mine about a year, and it works very, very well. I don't even know it's there unless I look in the rear view mirror. See my photo website for pictures at: http://homepage.mac.com/dflory/Menu5.html It's the fifth choice down at the bottom of the menu page. The sportsrig is unique in that it folds up and stands on it's end in the garage so it takes very little space when not assembled and in use. The newer model even has little metal wheels so you can fold it up, stand it on end and then roll it into a tight space. I picked mine up at the source in San Luis Obispo and saved any shipping costs. I met all the folk there and they're a nice bunch of people *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
