Jed,

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I have been surprised at how rapidly
these techniques are gaining in popularity and there are a growing number of
folks who are quite accomplished at them. There is a book in the works by
John Heath and Eugene Arima, where John documents many of the Greenlandic
rolling methods. Maligiaq helped proof this information when he visited the
US a few years ago. The book seems to be stalled in production issues, and I
don't know when it will be released.

Rather than a book, what I think would be very helpful is a video that
demonstrates the mechanics, common errors, and "tips and tricks", as a
number of the rolls have a few key points that once discovered makes them
possible. The Greenlanders also have fairly strict rules about how they must
be performed (to win points in competition). This might make an interesting
future collaborative project for Qajaq USA with the help of excellent
kayakers like Harvey Golden, Maligiaq, and others.
