Folks,

Anyone out there have a CD Sirocco and can recommend a neoprene or
neo/nylon sprayskirt that *fits*?

I'm stationed in Japan and working with a dealer about 12 hours south in
Tokyo. The medium Tech Tour snapdragon skirt he sent with the boat
didn't come close to fitting. The large he sent *almost* fits, and I've
lost faith in his ability to provide me with one that does. The large
Tech Tour skirt has an adjustable elastic rand, but the neo deck is not
cut quite wide enough for the elastic to fit properly under the coaming
just in front of the tunnel.

So if you have a good recommendation on a skirt you know fits, and stays
on well, please email me direct:

woodardr_at_bigfoot.com

Thanks in advance,

Woody

Minor correction: They were Sea Tour spray skirts, not Tech Tour.

I doubt this will help, but maybe it will. One thing you can do with
a neoprene spray skirt is get it wet before you put it on. Also make
sure you are putting it on correctly (ie start in back and slowly
bring things up towards the front).

You probably know this already but thought I'd mention it. Some spray
skirts can be a really tight fit when they are new.

Of course, if it really doesn't fit, then it doesn't fit. But if
it is close that may help.

Hello Woody,

Sorry to hear you're having problems. SnapDragon made two expedition
skirts for me in the last two months. One for a new Arctic Hawk, and one
for an older Hutchinson Ice Floe. The Hawk was easy as it's well known but
the Ice Floe was a problem. The most foolproof advise I can offer is to
call SnapDragon and explain your problem. Not cheap or convenient from
Japan but.........They don't sell direct to consumers, at least not in the
States, but will send it to your dealer.

If they don't have a stock one or you want to be absolutely sure it fits, make a template That's what I did with the Ice Floe. 4
length measurements and 4 widths at various points measured to the outside
edge of the combing, on the template. It took a week for them to do it and
get it down to my dealer in CA. Fit perfectly.

I didn't order through the dealer though; I ordered direct, then told the dealer to expect it. Goes a lot faster that way

Good luck,

Kevin Nelson

Thanks Kevin. I may have to do this since I've lost faith in the dealer
to get one the right size. I sent Snapdragon an email about the online
fit list they have on their web site - I have no idea if they will
respond. I've always preferred the reinforced neo snap dragon skirts,
but I had similar fit problems with my Gulfstream.

Right now the last sea tour skirt I was sent is sitting on the boat -
stretched real tight and soaked in water. It looks like it may actually
work out after a few more wet/dry cycles. Time will tell. If not, it
fits my K1 coaming quite nicely.

I'm going on leave to the states in July, and may bring back my
Gulfstream skirt with me. I seem to recall it was a tad large for the
gulfie, which means it should fit the Sirocco perfectly.

Woody,
I found the SnapDragon Sea Tour ez, supratex/ nylon in the LARGE cockpit
size works beautifully.

The one with the adjustable bungie is not for plastic rims. The extreme
skirt is the one you need.

I have one ready for instant delivery if you need one asap.

You probably know this but Current Design also sells spray skirts. Have
you contacted them? I used one this past winter for about six weeks and
it was pretty good. I prefer my Snap Dragon but then it was a lot more
money and a lot stronger.
