I paid around $75 for it new, and like the >other Werner paddles, it is worth every penny I paid for it. I second the recommendation for the Werner point. A week or so ago I took my two nieces out (one at a time) for a ride in a tandem kayak. We gave them a Werner point paddle to "help" paddle the tandem. One of the cool little features of the paddle is that it's got a smiley face on each blade. We told them to keep the smiley face looking at them and they sort of paddled along with me saying "there's the smiley face...there's the smiley face" each time the paddle came out of the water. The four year old tended to leave the paddle in the water too long but the six year was actually paddling well enough that I was able to synchronize strokes with her from the stern seat in the tandem. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
