[Paddlewise] Flare guns and poly bags

I'm thinking of purchasing a flare gun for
our upcoming trip as I'm tired of buying
sky blazer flares and then having to fire
them off or dispose of them after the
expire date, and of course by that time
half of them are duds. Also, where would
a person find some clear poly bags that
would be used to line our food stuff sacks.
Garbage bags and kitchen catchers are to
lightweight and tend to tear and you can't
see in the bloody things.
