G'Day Marilyn,

Me too!! But is it necessary or realistic to edge a boat in big waves? When
I'm in that situation my boat is usually more manoeuverable because there's
less of it in the water and a paddle stroke off passing waves gives very
effective steering. Except for surfing of course, when I usually resort to a
stern rudder or a self rescue:~)

Thanks for the feedback on the Mayan Seas Performa.

All the best, PeterO

I have struggled, and still have to work at effective edging in rough
conditions. I have found edging to be very helpful indeed, both in control
and in minimizing effort, in rough water.
