The most visible kayak I ever saw belonged to a character who hung around the Downtown Boathouse. He had a sit-on-top kayak that he had added all kinds of junk, and I mean junk. To add to the junk he took neon paint (florescent green and some other color) and painted all over the sides and deck. I was paddling one day on the lower Hudson and I could spot his boat well over a mile away it was that visible. Trouble with what he did for others is who want to do this to a sleek fiberglass kayak? ralph diaz *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
