They track soooo well that it's very difficult to turn them when the wind is NOT on your side. If the wind is helping they are a joy. I generally like to put strong folks in them if the weathers cranky. >>>> So what would you normally put the weaker paddler into? Something more maneuverable? Or is it the overall size of the GT that is the problem. Inquiring minds want to know. Doug inquires: >>So what would you normally put the weaker paddler into? Something more maneuverable? Or is it the overall size of the GT that is the problem. Inquiring minds want to know. Something smaller *and* more maneuverable. We have alot of different models in the program so it's fairly easy to pick something more suitable. I agree with you about the Solstice series being a fine example of PNW design. Great performance, stability and tracking. I just think that the paddler needs to be up speed, strength and size wise to fit these boats. Especially because the tracking is sooooo good. steve Alder Creek Kayak & Canoe N 45º 39' 47" 250 NE Tomahawk Isle Dr. W 122º 36' 16" Portland, OR 97217 Web: www.aldercreek.com Phone: 503.285.0464 Email: aldercreek_at_qwest.net *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
