Never underestimate the effects of PVC outgassing (gets less over the 
decades, of course), solvents needed to glue Hypalon, various tasty varnishes 
on wood frames, lubricants and anticorrosion concoctions deployed with metal 
skeletons and, last but by no means least, the heady aroma of complete 
freedom, whether gliding effortlessly on the water in your folder or bearing 
it packed up and on the hoof on the hard!
