I have two of the banners, one is the 6 inch and the other is a 12 or 16 inch. I found them on sale because they, like flares, have expiration dates. Since I carry other devices to meet my obligation to have current daytime devices and I don't think the banners will, with age, have an increased probability of failure, on long trips, I keep one attached to the stern of my boat as a safety device.
