That's the standard recommendation and I've considered it. However, most of the wet for me is my habit of sinking the paddle into the water until my hand is almost covered. As the water gets colder, I'll have to do something and not dunking the hands is a big part. I'll definitely try the drip line (in a fancy bit of rope work) but I'll probably need gloves from November until the spring.
