I've had 3 different agents figure out how to insure a sea kayak. None of them was able to get an answer in under a week. I'm currently paying $50 per insured boat for full replacement coverage, in Massachusetts. As part of insuring the boats the insurance company requested the serial numbers of the boats. I have not needed to test the coverage.
