Hi Kirk, What is the lady's e-mail that's researching sponsons? Are we going to hear what her conclusions are? I believe kayaks are kayaks, and canoes are canoes, but trying to make them into zodiacs is insane? Would they put sponsons on a river kayak? Rolling is part of the game, and it's a safety issue, too! We are safe because we can roll the boats- can't do it with sponsons! If a paddler wants a wide ("won't ever capsize") boat; terrific! Go buy a nice "Recreational Kayak". Sponsons? Get out'a here!
