Re: [Paddlewise] Hand Rolling

Nice job!   I am trying to develop a hand roll at the moment.  What 
technique did you use (roughly speaking)?  I am trying it in a CD Extreme 
which is almost 19 feet long.  In a recent pool session I felt I was getting 
very close.  Then I learned a one handed paddle roll that I think helped me 
identify a few of the bugs in my hand roll attempts.  By then the pool time 
was up though so I did not have a chance to try to refine it any.  The good 
news is we are back in the pool this Sunday.  Now not having pulled it off 
just yet I can't say for sure if my boat will hand roll.  From my experience 
with other rolls and progress so far I think it will, and hopefully soon!  A 
member of our club hand rolls his Nordkapp Jubilee (Dennis are you here 
somewhere?).  He also gets credit for teaching me the cool one hand roll 
as well!

I would be very interested in hearing any hand rolling tips, techniques, 
etc.!!
