Pulling off your first handroll is almost as much of a rush as pulling off your first paddle roll. Michael Daly put together a nice list of possible hand rolls, I've misplaced the URL. I can do about 8 different ones in a whitewater boat. In my sea kayak I'm only regularly successful with one style, and that is without my pfd on. With a pfd on it's down around a 40% success rate. My sea kayak hand roll leaves me on the back deck, start backwards, finish backwards. > Here's the question, after indulging my urge to brag (apologies): Does > anyone handroll their real, sea touring boat?
