Hi, Dave, Paddlewiseguys, I saw this, about a waterproof hearing aid from a Japanese company; I gather it is available in the US. My dad just got two hearing aids -- he lost some of his hearing to scarlet fever as a kid, but then, distressingly, lost almost all of his hearing in one ear literally overnight. Fortunately, his hearing aids have restored his hearing to a level that's almost as good as before. Not waterproof, though! Here's the link for those of you who are interested. They're apparently even used in diving, so they must be pretty tough. I wonder -- do they float? Maybe they need a little lanyard attachment grommet :) http://www.hearinglossweb.com/res/ha/conv/rion.htm ______________________________ lisa_at_cadence90.com bikes, books, internet radio *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
