I prefer Princeton Tec (PT) for waterproof - 1000 - 2000 ft depending on the 
model.  The headlamps are excellent.  MEC sells a PT relabelled as an 
MEC Solo - the only difference is it comes with a single bulb/reflector 
and the PR comes with two (wide angle and focussed).  Radio Shack
also sells a relabelled PT.  PT also has the Matrix model with LED bulbs.

I've used my PT stuff scuba diving, so I know it's really waterproof.
