Don't know if it will work (i.e., download) to GPS units, but for combining satellite imagery with mapping capabilities, it looks great. So of course I'm wondering if there are others out there who are using it and checking for accuracy. Software is at: http://www.earthviewer.com/earthviewer/nvidia.html . We have downloaded a trial version, considering using it for our Galveston Bay Information Center. Its application for folks like me who seem to be fated to find all mapping anomalies on paddling expeditions, looks like truth in mapping. What say you? I'm doing a local kayak exploratory trip on Saturday, will see what I can do with downloading from trial version and checking against actual conditions although of course we all know wind and weather and tide all affect marshland paddleability. I have no financial interests in Earthviewer or associated companies, only wish to reduce downtime due to "lost in the swamps".
