Chuck, Can you let us know where you found a clear plastic, waterproof GPS bag with a cord? I've been using my Magellan Meridian sans protection on the foredeck under the bungie. It's never been submersed (although it's said to float and be waterproof), but of course gets deck wash all the time. I just rinse it off and dry it after an outing.
