G'Day, I'ld like to advocate the Pawlatta roll a little more strongly for sea kayaking. As a rolling novice its my one truly bombproof roll that works every time in a variety of weather conditions, surf and states of exhaustion! My standard practise while learning other rolls, braces or surfing methods is to try the new technique and if it fails then use the Pawlatta to return to the surface. Its reliability makes a useful standby for learning new techniques without the inconvenience of exiting the cockpit. I'm guessing it would not be very good for whitewater but find it extremely useful in seakayaking. All the best, PeterO *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
