IIRC you want these for a busy waterway. Do you need effectiveness in poor-light? If so, then look for larger objective lenses (25 is small) and larger exit pupil (10/25 = 2.5mm). Unless you feel you need this level of quality and ease of use, for about $20 you can get about the same power (I have 8 x 21) in the lttle two-barrel binocs. Most models are not waterproof, but at the price they are less of an investment to lose and so you take them along in your PFD pocket more often.
